I've made it in! I'm a doctoral student. I am very excited and nervous because now the real work can begin. I do understand working on my doctorate is another level of course work that I will need to mentally prepare for. I'm not sure that I am totally ready, but; I do know that I have a mission and it starts with Process Writing. I do not consider myself a proficient writer so, I decided that a writing course should be my first decision. I know that I can stand some help in this area and that a doctoral student does a lot of writing. My ultimate goal is to turn my dissertation into a book. In my Process Writing course we are making an action plan. I have stated my ultimate goal and will follow a few basic and specific steps to reach that goal. Step one; I want to start a blog. Through this blog I want to practice writing; both for myself and for an audience. It will be a chronicle of sorts. It is my intent to watch my writing as an author flourish with each new blog post. I have not decided if I will try to write weekly or by course, but this post is my beginning. As I publish and share this blog, I am open to feedback and constructive criticism. I believe this will be a good way for me to see my journey. I hope you enjoy blog post one.
